MX6 2.2L turbo
Came across this engine while looking for possible swaps. Anyone know if the MX6 2.2L turbo will fit?

A 305 H.0 mustang engine will fit in a miata
so your 2.2l will certainly fit....Nobody to my knowledge has done it though....my tip to you would be to research on this engine and bring it to a garage where they do swaps....but it will fit for sure!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST OF LUCK!!!
Jean-Michel Basque

Re: MX6 2.2L turbo
I wouldn't take the advice of the previous post to drop the MX-6 motor in. Sure a 5.0l will fit a miata, it drops in with little mods. To get the 88-91 MX-6/Probe GT motor in you may as well by a GS and drop a KL in it. The only part worth taking off of that MX-6 is the turbo. Get yourself a B6T, swap the VJ11 out for the VJ6 from the MX6.

Re: MX6 2.2L turbo
Maybe fit was the wrong question. I have a 1.6L SOHC so any kind of swap will be major. Looking for any info and opinions on this engine over say the 2.5L.

Re: MX6 2.2L turbo
IF you have $20K, go for it. It is completely useless to even try it, it would be cheaper to swap a 2.5l in place of the sohc. For the cost of swapping a 2.5l in you may as well by a GS. Go get yourself a B6T, it drops right in. The wiring is the only problem, but that is an area that I am working on right now. It is very possible to get 300-400whp out of the b6t with proper mods.
