Cheap Intake for I4 or V6

Post by Guest »

This will work on both 4 and 6 cylinder engines...go out and buy a ractive intake for a 92-95 civic. u will need to cut about 6 inchs off the long end depending wether or not its a 4 or 6.......i just guessed and it worked out good.....u need to remove the overflow for the rad located in the bottom right side of the engine compartment. after u move a few cables and wires it gives u a clear hole to put the filter down into...""""""""""remmeber to file down and then clean the egde u cut"""""""""""""""""" u don;t want any file shavings going into your intake!!!!!!!!!!!!!! using the same clamps and parts from the ractive intake u can bolt it right in....then replace the rad over flow and with a few wiggles it will all work together no subports are needs for the tube but i do recomend that u put some tape or a piece of foam on the metal part where the tube rests.................for pics goto my page http://importa.tripod.com/mike.html later....................also if u own a v6 i had problems with my intake in the cold and wet winters............in the cold weather the engine would start to run ruff and then the engine light would come on.......once i stopped and started it again for awhile it ran ok......after putting my stock air box back in the car ran like new!!!

How would this work on the I4?? It has the mass air flow sensor, like a Nissan you need an adapter. The car will run like crap if it does not have the sensor. I just bought an adapter for $10.00 and a cone filterfrom weapon R and that was $50.00 and it only cost me sixty bucks you cant beat that!
Jim
93 Bright White RS
