Power Window Motor

Post by CaffeineTripp »

Our window motor went out on our GS. The price of a new window motor was a bit too expensive to justify purchasing one ($130) for a vehicle that only gets driven in the summer and not often at that. The motor from the same year Protege/323 is the same, the only difference being the stub shaft that comes from the motor to connect to the regulator. Replace the stub shaft with the MX-3's and you've got a new motor for $50 less. Protege stub shaft on the left, MX-3 stub shaft installed in Protege window motor.

Good to know. My passenger window motor is acting crazy sometimes. Will check the motor next week to see if I can fix it.
