Will they fit without issues?

Post by zerialz »

I understand the stock tire is 205/55/r15. Will I run into any issues with 205/60/r15 tires?

From what my tire guy says you can go up or down one size with no problems. Not sure why anyone would want to go down one size but what ever. If and when I replace my rubber it'll be up one size for height and width. I just like the chunkier look. 8)

The stock tire size has a limited selection and is expensive in my area. My friend has a set of rx7 oem bbs with new rubber on them. He's going to sell me the rims and tires for $60 since he doesn't have a car they fit anymore.. It's a hell of a deal. I just wish I could throw the rims on but alas they're 5 lug.

The tires fit fine. Even turning the wheel fully there is no rubbing. Even going over bumps is fine. It's great to have a firm grip on the road again.. You know, living in snowy Las Vegas Nevada lol.

Has anyone experienced any issues going wider? The guy I bought my car from emphasized that he put the widest tires on the car he could. It's currently running 225/55/15. I haven't noticed any issues, but also didn't have a chance to drive the car a lot before winter. Ride height and wheels are stock.

Don't forget, if your installing all-season tires the wider you go from stcok the less traction you have in snow and possibly in wet conditions.
