Anyone still building engines for MX-3? I have parts to sell

Post by Spinkx79 »

<<Updated>>

I no longer own any MX-3's but have a bunch of parts I gathered for a custom build years ago.

Been thinking of selling to someone who can and will use them instead of sitting in boxes for the next 5 years.

If there is interest I will take an inventory and pictures to post them here.

Short list from memory:

Forged ceramic topped, moly skirted pistons by Diamond Racing (9 pistons). NIB - I paid $884 with all the add ons. I would like $500
Huge H beam connecting rods w floating wrist pins (indestructible) from an old PT BB. NIB - I paid $420, would like $300
ARP Head and Block studs. NIB - I paid $523, would like $450.
Beefy valve springs (cant remember the make) - I paid $115, would like $60
Core heads for DE and ZE - Paid $100 each iirc, buy the springs and you can have both ZE and DE for $40
Core block (cores are nice to build while car is still on the road) - Buy the Pistons or ARP studs and get the block for $50 on a stand worth ($80).
67mm TB, done by PMO something or other in a BB on PT (plus 2 kl67 free) - I paid $150 plus a core, I want $100.
Aeromotive FPR (can be dual feed, was my plan). Cant remember what I paid, I want $75.
All the poly and bronzoil bushings that the guy in Quebec made. NIB - I paid $270, I want $175.
Cams for boost done by Colt Cams 210 (.355), 218 (.363), lobe separation 112deg. NIB - I paid $420 plus cores, I want $300.
Supercharger (used) Eaton M62?? - I paid $217, want $140.
Dual oil filter relocation kit (for DE) used - Dont know what i paid, I want $50
Mazdaspeed oil cap. NIB - ??, I want $20
Mazdaspeed oil catch can (chinese). - ??, I want $20
Autometer air fuel gauge pn2675. NIB - Paid $55, I want $25
Phenolic head spacers (DE) and TB spacer both DE and ZE. NIB - I paid $105, I want $50
PMO slimline fans NIB. - I paid $80, I want $50.
Unorthodox underdrive pully. - I paid $105, I want $50.
Chrome blaster 2 coil (used). ??, i want $30
Chinese grounding kit. - ??, i want $25.
Some O2 sensors NIB
MSD 6btm (NIB)- I paid $356. - I want $250.
Knock sensor (new) - I paid $50, I want $25.
FMU (used) - ?? - I want $100
ZE intake 3/4 polished - ??, I want $50
Timing belt tensioner (new) - paid $100, I want $50

I have pics of everything, email me and let me know what you want to see.

I'm trying to be reasonable on the pricing, no lowballs.
Please don't waste my time.

I would like to sell as much as I can to as few people as possible.

Thanks

1.Poly bushing for the front Lower control arms?

2.Is the TB compatible with the ZE curved neck or only a DE?

3. Slim fans are plug and play?

4.Does the underdrive have a mark for timing or do I have to put the stock one on for that.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response.

I have taken pics of everything, if you want to see them email me and I will send them to you. Spinkx79@yahoo.ca

A few answers to questions:

Poly bushings are for control arms, body and the bronzeoil busings are for the shitfer and something else. Search SRD performance, he used to sell them on here, I have one of everything he made and sold.

The 68mm TB is for the ZE not DE.

Slimline fans are not plug and play iirc.

The underdrive I believe does have a mark on it.

Yes I have a pic of the Supercharger.

I will now update the post with some prices.

I'm interested in a few of the items, but will depend on the specs...

1. Forged ceramic topped, moly skirted pistons by Diamond Racing (9 pistons). NIB - I paid $884 with all the add ons. I would like $500
What was the advertised static compression for these? Are rings included? Will they mate up with Milli S rods, or are they matched with the H beams that you purchased?

2. Huge H beam connecting rods w floating wrist pins (indestructible) from an old PT BB. NIB - I paid $420, would like $300
Do these require any block modification to fit?

3. Beefy valve springs (cant remember the make) - I paid $115, would like $60
Will you PM me photos of the springs, please? I may be able to identify them.

4. Aeromotive FPR (can be dual feed, was my plan). Cant remember what I paid, I want $75.
Is this a full kit, i.e. complete and ready for use with a KL?

5. Cams for boost done by Colt Cams 210 (.355), 218 (.363), lobe separation 112deg. NIB - I paid $420 plus cores, I want $300.
Were these ever used?

6. Supercharger (used) Eaton M62?? - I paid $217, want $140.
Do you know the history on this? Or were you planning to rebuild it?

I'm interested in all of these items, and depending on answers to the questions I have payment at the ready.
