Re: Been a while......
Have you ever lifted a K8/KL block with the crank removed...? It weighs barely more than crank does by itself... Which is DEFINITELY steel, no doubting that one at all.
I know there's copper in there, possibly they used steel in places to reinforce it? The exterior is definitely aluminum, but I'll mess around with a magnet on my open DE short block and report back. If I forget, I'll do it the next time I see this thread... I rarely touch this section, so it may be while.

Re: Been a while......
I'm not sure..
I screwed up my oem ones trying to put a light coat of vht on them but the paint cracked...
I will probably end up going with the black projectors, the thought of retrofitting projectors into the oem housing crossed my mind too

Re: Been a while......
So this car is now being parted out
If anyone is interested in the chassis, rolling or as a driver with a standard KLZE installed we can work out a deal
Car body has 120,000km and has no rust. It was painted properly, a ton of money spent on it. Been stored indoors for at least the last 12 years
Complete 700-800hp Turbo kit will also be available. Intake/exhaust Manifolds, intercooler, FP turbo, and all associated plumbing. PM for details
