NOS wet spray setup What do you think and i have 3 questions

Post by Tfries-cc »

nos buy list

things im buying :):)
cold air intake:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLUE-FORD-PROBE ... ef&vxp=mtr (getting it so its easier to make a hole for the spray before the t-body

nos kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/IMPORT-NITROUS- ... 2ea1798c3d

adapter to get fuel from before the fuel rail.

Fuel regulator, what do I get? Or do I even need one? currently I have the k8 one

To do list:
1.) install cold air intake,
2.) install bottle and run lines up to the engine bay
3.)change STOCK fuel pressure regulator (I have the same one for the k8) what do I get ? one from a 2.5 probe at a wreckers im assuming or a adjustable one?
4.)tap in the fuel.. maybe use the banjo bolt that comes with fuel pressure gauges? to get to fuel from the rails?
5.) make hole for the spray tip and install it pointing towards t-body
6.) do wiring, and connect the switch to the TPS
7.)attach spray and fuel line to the 50shot nos tip : )

( im not planning on doing a fuel pump im sure I will be fine with just 50 shot ) but please let me know if you know if you also think it is safe.

how much power do you guys think 50shot will get me with the klze??

did I miss anything?
if you didn't notice im not sure about-
1.) what to buy for tapping into the fuel line
2.)what I should do about the fuel regulator

:) thanks for reading im excited comment on what you think

missing:
1)Walbro 190 or 225 pump
2)Colder Plugs
3)HEI kit >stock ignition is nowhere near potent enough for reliable ignition
4)regulator would be nice but if you run the new pump you should be fine, both K8&Kl are the same
5)Milli S injectors (some say its not needed but if you want a reliable car and not risk leaning out I would)
6)A/F gauge

Read these:

Also, what kind of clutch do you have in your car? And you might want to think of putting some shockproof redline in your transmission.

1) not necessary for a 50hp shot, more a nice to have
2) see 1
4) Get a decent regulator and REMOVE the old one
5) Milli S is overkill, if 1 and 4 our purchased defenitly
6) very good one

what is the cheapest A/F guage I can get? most of them seem like they don't come with everything /:

I heard if you are using nos and hit it off the rev limiter you blow the motor.. is this true ? how do I avoid this fully? is there any way to take the limiter out?

Plugs you need them of a FS 2.0l Probe/mx6 4cyl engine. You can take 1 step colder not necessary.

Rev limiter, yes you blow your engine if you do it. So... don't rev to high.

Oil pressure you can use the original spot.

A/F ; L1 innovation, AEM etc

what is the cheapest A/F gauge in your opinion that will do the job good enough?
I don't want to spend 200$ on a gauge :/ u know??
what do you recommend for an inexpensive one

I feel like its sketchy racing a car with nos..

when the nos starts spraying its instant extra power, so your rpms are going to fly up a lot faster.. and faster than your used to.. so if you tap the redline it blows? game over new engine kind of deal? no matter what ?

is there any way to avoid the engine blow from the fuel cut off? or do I just have to be that careful?

what would actually happen if I hit redline with nos?

im trying to get a reliable set up and not embarrass myself on the track!!

thanks in advance

Just get regular ngk plugs

No, it won't blow if you tip the redline. It's just not a good idea to spray around your redline.

If you're smart you create a button or something that you need to activate with your right hand, when you'd need to shift you release the button anyways.

I don't know on a/f gauge. I have an AEM, but google a bit for them.
It's not a requirement, but a nice to have.
Risk of blowing motor is bigger because you don't know what's going on.
