F/S: 92 MX-3 GS

Here's the story on this mx-3. Two weeks ago I was driving on the highway and my engine seized so long story short. So, the engine needs to be rebuilt or swapped out. The car has about 109K miles on it. I'm posting to test interest to see if I can get enough out of selling this car so I can buy another mx3 I found. Everything else in the car works perfectly. The car is blaze red with a black interior. The paint job is decent could use a touch up. Also the same day the engine seized I got in a fender bender so the car needs a new passenger side front fender. I just replaced the distributor cap and rotor about two weeks ago. Also what the odometer states is incorrect. When installing aftermarket gauges like many others I broke my temp gauge and the tach started sticking. So instead of attempting to replace the individual gauge and the other things that weren't working I just put in a cluster. If the response is enough I am willing to part it out. How much would you have to spend to get the other mx-3 you're looking at?

personally I'd be comparing that to the cost to swap in a 2.5l engine.. it's as easy as replacing the existing 1.8l but you get a massive boost in performance. (if budget is tight, go for the KL-DE motor as it's easier to get cheaply)

It was my original plan to swap out the seized k8 and put in a ze. But the seller of this other car approached me and his car already has a ze it just needs a little work. I decided it was a better deal to do that than buy a ze for this current car. The car also has a really good sound system infinity 6.5's in the back and rockford fosgate 6.5's in the front. At this point the exhaust is just axle back to a flowmaster. When the engine was running it was a one of a kind sound. Only one like it in my town. Anyway its a fantastic car and I'm sad to see it go but I really want a ZE.

I live in Kalamazoo Michigan 49009. I am asking 1300 obo for the car. The price is a little negotiable because I need enough money to buy the cars replacement. And make a few minor repairs on the new car. Here are some pictures of the car. It is currently being stored at my apartment complex, so I do not have a shopvac or a way of washing it available so the pictures do not truly do it justice. I will be trying to clean it this week however.

Someone out there has got to need a project car. I'm sure some of you have a relative that always wanted a mx3 to drop a ZE in. Anyway I need to sell this car soon because I need to send the engine in the replacement car back to the company before the warranty expires.
