Haha thanks Surgeon, that's about right.

The old black car was UKDM and severely corroded - as in jack went up, car stayed the same height...

I wanted something more economical but still fun. I was inspired by an ecomodders thread of a boosted honda which achieved brilliant mileage. Jason (jayom) sold me the car for a decent price, whilst it's bodywork was poor it looked great underneath. As for v6 VS i4, economy was the main reason, and the car came with the 1.5. I have 4 years of uni left, with petrol as £1.36 a litre I had to compromise. Road tax is also 40% cheaper too for <1500. I also like the feeling of boost, whilst still getting ZE performance.

Haha thanks guys! Will hopefully get some more vids done. One with a mic by the turbo would be cool.

I acquired a £40 HKS super dragger exhaust off gumtree from a Toyota Glanza. Pity it was dented at the tip and the baffles were on the verge of being blown out. The perforated tube had rotten a bit exposing the packing. The bottom had also been flattened and scraped, these people and their lowness :P

Image

So naturally I chopped it into pieces.

-Carefully cut the end open
-I rammed in a better condition perforated tube
-hammered out the big dent on the tip
-rotated the tip 180deg so all scrapes are hidden at the top
-sanded and polished it up
-new brackets
-welded to my exhaust

Might have to remove my mid silencer, turbos got things far too quiet! I'm liking the look, this car is so JDM :D

Thanks Josh! Took ages but I'd been craving an HKS for ages and wanted to keep it as authentic as possible. I remembered you saying a bout straightening your MS tip and thought it must be possible!

Yeah! I completely forgot I straightened it out, lol. The next step will be much of the same that you have done, so I can enlarge the pipe diameter :)

I like the look a lot, very clean!
