oh man thats alot for just rebuilding the front.......or are you UPGRADING the front. I have seen tubular LCA´s on club protege i believe that would fit into the budget. The Mazdaspeed strut bar is a lightwieght great addition for the front suspension. The SRD crossmember really adds alot of rigidity as well. If your only talking front

I want to see the overflow tank when you place it!! How much was that by any chance? I'm wanting to remove my OEM one as well, it's in the way and re-locating it would look awful.

it is expensive, but i use only OEM or first line aftermarket parts and technically it is an upgrade as i'm going to rx7 ball joints and energy suspension bushings. everything on the front end will be brand new minus the spindles themselves.

i'll put a pic up as soon as i have it mounted. canadian cost was less then $50 bucks and i'll probably mount it
on the passenger side frame rail, but regardless it will be mounted somewhere on the passenger side.

Awesome, thank you much! Just remember you'll want it to be higher than the radiator core, so it functions as it should. I can't wait, I've been trying to think of a better location for it for a while now.

update time.

so thursday night i decided to chance it and took a drive to ottawa(400km one way), and i'm still getting the intermittent check engine light.
cruising about 120km/h the light would hit and go out on its own about 15-20 times for about 80km's then went away and didnt happen again. everything under hood vacuum and intake wise appears tight.

so tomorrow night after work i'm gonna replace the fuel filter and finally get the timing dialed in to 10-16 degrees.....just gonna work my way up from 10 and see what feels good, then spend a few tanks determining where the sweet spot is between power/fuel economy.

still waiting for my control arm bushings, hopefully sometime this week.

i'm ready for a smooth vibration free front end that doesnt wander, the ottawa drive made my arms feel like jello lol.

i completely disagree, regardless of what you have...upgrading the bushings is always a great upgrade.

Any upgrade is a great upgrade. I didnt say it was bad. My suspension is far from stock and these seem like there designed for a stock suspension or someone with lowering springs. I ask because i been fighting understeer ever since i put my coilovers on. A larger front sway bar MAY help but im looking for an easier fix. I was thinking maybe putting the poly bushings in my ZX2 trailing arms after getting some of Pierce motorsports tubular lateral links. Im hoping that will help a little. I wasnt to worried about getting front bushings for the LCA´s because my traction bar doesnt let the LCA move at all. Where they hard to install? Do you have poly bushings for your trailing arms? How is your turn in and corner exit now? Sorry for the Q´s im just on the fence on these

Poly bushings are one of the best upgrades. My car was the first MX-3 to have completely poly bushings, and it was a huge difference.

i havent gotten them installed yet, i need to finish cleaning up and repainting the control arm then i'll press them in and its just a re/re affair couple hours on the hoist and i'll be cruising.

going to order a set of small mx ball joints and a set of rx7 ball joints the day of install so that whatever spindle i end up having i'll be prepped for install.

the roughest part is definetly going to be replacing the inner and outer tie rods......really not looking forward to that.
