Lol... gotta say, I'm not in either camps... give me a Euro any day... Citroen DS3 (if only they actually made the racing edition!) is ultimate (but kinda affordable) or a BMW 1-series M... mmm mmmmmmmm!! haha
Nice Subie, Finch, looks real neat Dan, your new one looks real tidy, too!

It's a good looking paint job, I've only ever seen one other car painted that colour and it looked awful. The owner said that he had some serious trouble with it once it started to dry, it stopped being reflective and having an even sheen. It would go flat at some spots, making it look pretty rough. Did you have the same problems when you did yours?

Oh it was actually pretty easy! The car was originally White, so I pulled it apart(Doors, Hood, Lights, Bumpers, Sunroof, Engine) Primed with 2 part epoxy primer, Sprayed the whole car Black, then shot the color shifting paint over it, let it dry like 20 min between coats. Then 3 coats of clear.
I already said it but I love what you did with the car. You did several things that I would not have chosen personally, but when they are all put together it works.
We all want to be fast and look cool. Cool changes but fast never does.

Thanks ethand but in saying that I have to say I stay as far away from Eurotrash as I can. I could of got a fully loaded leather interior absofuckinlutely immacculate VW Passat for $2000 but on the day of the sale the car wouldn't start. Typical.
dansXR2, I think that paint looks real nice. I love burple, the MX3 I sold 3 years ago was purple as well but not like yours just regular Mazda purple.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
dansXR2 - car looks great! I personally love the paint, when done right it looks killer. I have seen two other MX's in WA with erodecent or color shift paint. What I like more is the engine swap. Great work for going with something a little out of the box for the MX. There are not many out there that have done that swap. Do you have a WL with more pics of your swap?
