Took me awhile to start this work log but anyways

here she is



My plan is to repaint the car white
get some coilovers
put some rota grids
and swapping out the engine

Thanks! Just went to Collision shop and got quoted 1700 to paint my car plus some body work I think I might just buy another Mazda Mx3 or a miata or a e30 lol, anyone know a good paint shop or give me tips on fixing a really big dent on my door lol

depends on where on the door, but you can always try tapping it out from the inside of the door.

Body Hammer and a dolly, a friend, and a bit of body filer.
Lots of stuff online to show you step by step how to knock out dents.

Pick-N-Pull in Tacoma has 2 mx3's on the lot. Buying a door is probably a lot cheaper than the shop would charge for repair. And the body is going to be painted anyway, so who cares about color?
The ones behind the door, you should be able to get to through the panel inside. Metal work isn't hard, but it is pretty hard to make the seams match up. A touch of Bondo to smooth it over after you're done.

I thought I'd seen another MX3 in my area.

Yeah the mx3's in pick n pull someone already pulled it and the fender I pulled from the other mx3 in pick n pull has a door problem also it's alright though I got it in a different shop to work with my budget thanks for the help though, being car less sucks lol

That would have been me & tunes67 who raped the black gs at the tacoma PnP a couple months ago. We were there pulling a klze out of a probe. We should meet up sometime.

Got my car back today








My next plan is getting some mini sides and getting some new rims any recommendations? I was thinking of some bronze grids or some slips or something deep dish, also planning on getting a bumper to customize it.

looks good, much better then when you got it for sure! hard to tell tho, is that a matte white? or was there overcast when you took these pics (hence no reflection).

as for rims, im a huge fan of DRAG rims, i initially wanted the dr-8's in white but got a set of dr-2's locally instead, just my 2 cents!

Ok ya, I just sold a complete GS black interior for cheap, I see you have the brown interior. Is that an RS? I think I've seen it driving on 405. I see maybe 2 mx-3's a month driving around here. I know there are a few people up here from the forum. Me, Josh, Tunes67, ohsnapitsbrii, & then in OR there's 4 more that I know of. It'd be cool if we could get at least 5 ppl togeether for a meet.
