fixed my horn with a hack job extension. Sadly the sun made my hub cover crumble when i went to remove it.

Also got some lime green nail polish and painted the numbers on my shift knob.

Was raining so I put my strut bar on. Yes the rain caused me to work on it haha. Sadly only camera I had was my pre-paid phone.

Did you mount your metal ac hose down somehow when you installed the strut bar?

Yea , hard to see but in the first picture, only way i could get the threads to catch without putting to much strain on the pipe was to put the nut back on upside down.

Went to the pick N pull today. They finally had a mx3 there :D. there was 2 put on the lot this week, first time in a year. First one looked like it stayed in a forest for a good while.

The hatch was missing, rust galore, the carpet had moss on it, and under all of the carpet was a few tons of ants... So I took the passenger kick panels. the driver side by the fuse box was bolted down and ruined. and i already had the driver side panel that goes by the center.

The second one was in a little better shape but just about everything I wanted was ruined or missing. So I got the plastic cover for the gauge cluster, the windshield jets and the tubes to them, one step closer to the full setup haha. One side of the hatch was rusted all the way through. Getting the garnish off was not fun. I managed to get it off and had to break the plastic the left clip went into sense the bolts on that side were rusted solid. Not bad as I can fix with some fiberglass.

I will start taking pics tomorrow when I have some daylight.

Here are 2 pictures of the ones at the junkyard.

The garnish on and the back glass back on.

The back glass didn't have the 2 clips on the ends like I 'think' it should have.

I didn't take any pictures of me fixing the plastic clips on the bottom on the garnish. Insted of using fiberglass like I mentioned, I used a product by Bondo that has resin and hardener in 2 tubes with one handle. On top of the bolts I used 3m double sided tape around the edges of the garnish. Used another product by 3m that is "tar like" that hardens pretty well to redo the seals for the rubber trim. The back glass I did the same steps. I used the 3m stuff around the outside edge and then went and did around the inside so it should be fine.

The only real downfall I had was that the glass wasn't lined up perfectly so some of my 3rd break light is behind the black section of the glass. It is a little to far up and a little to far right.

I was wondering if anyone has ever made any covers like this to tidy up the engine bay.

Had to do a lot of rewiring to those 2 little boxes under it so figured i would mock up a cover to hide the wires.

Yea I noticed we don't quite have a lot of places to hide wires without drilling some holes. I would love to be able to have the bay like a show-car where all you see if the motor and the sides are all empty and clean without losing some of the components in it. The panel was just a though on a way to achieve the look :P

something along the lines of \/

Sam, I saw your mockups tonight to :P Keep me posted :D I might not get to far with mine other than templates though :/ Mainly because I don't want to get to into it than have none of it fit when it comes time for the bp swap.

Not really a update , but looking more into tidying the engine bay. Have been looking to remapping and possible locations for everything. Don't have the money for braided brake lines so I will be looking into best paths for the solid lines. Also found some helpful guides for maintaining the proper power when the relocation is done. That is if I have to lengthen wires :/

Using my log to store info so I don't lose it when I go back home :P

Oh course none of this will actually start until I begin a swap lol.
