bpt323 made a few of them and sold them on the forum...i believe mostly people on club protege bought them all the only people im tracking that have them here are me, pile, and mooneggs ( i bet diezzel has one too that guy is buying up everything  ) they replace your stock tow hooks up front and you just drill a wider hole in your LCA's (the hole thats already there is too small) thne bolt everything up it was very easy to install and the quality of the product was great. You also don't lose the ability to have your car towed which is a plus because mine is always being towed for something. Shoot a week after i installed the bar my alternator went dead and i had to get my car towed from France :crying: :crying: :crying: the only down side about them is your slash guards or plastic wind deflector things whatever there called under the car have to be HIGHLY modified to fit back on, the only hard part about that was how to do it but i didnt get the drivers side on, it was small so it wasnt too mush of a loss  i only got the passenger side on (the important one that protects the belts)

I believe he was going to make more this summer they were around 300 shipped. Maybe you can PM him and get dibs on the first few made because last time they went VERY fast, maybe because there isnt really any new performance parts for our cars.... :(

yeah im not gonna lie i think there is thread for that...but the only things i know people make that are worht buying are the SRD replica rear tie bar and front cross member nd4spd and Blaznlow make (very great guys and products) other then that your only choice would be second hand...there is so much stuff that was produced back in the day im after as well I.E. carbon rad mount, carbon wiper cowl, mooneggs type hood, there is more i just cant think of at the time. Whenever i see anything wheather i need it or not i always jump on it. Im hoping i can get this mazdaspeed replica front sway bar made from corksport because this will for sure be the last thing made just for our cars :( :(

So today i finally put on the mazdaspeed back box on it sounds GRRRREAT! Im really impressed at mazdaspeed. My Original GS muffler had a whinny 4 banger sound to it and i once had a OBX "reactive" muffler on it which sounded like a-- as well. I couldnt even hold a conversation or listen to music because it was a obnoxious loud. The mazdaspeed sports sound muffler even sounds better then the Magnaflow set up i have on the MX-6. The sound is very nice and deep and not loud at all...it muffles like a muffler should and no 3000-4000 rpm drone :2thumbsup: :2thumbsup: If i can find one of these for the MX-6 i will for sure buy it A+++++

I also lowered the car a couple of more inches but now i scrape on the security bumps at the front gate of the military post i work at so i may raise it back up a inch or 2...

Nice!! you should post a sound clip. I am getting one very shortly as well ;) only thing I am worried about is going from 2.5 down to a 2" box but it shouldent hurt too much. FYI check the Yahoo Auctions I see MX6 MS mufflers on there all the time. I was debating on getting one for the MX but a GS one came up.

cool! It is well worth the wait for one i believe. It is actually my favorite mod so far  and yeah as the step down goes i dont think it will make too much of a difference either. especially on a N/A engine. Also i will see if maybe rupe has a MX-6 back box for the 6, thanks for the idea :freak:

And yeah i have been trying to think of what i could put on the end, I mean im not the best at bodywork. The corner of the lip and the very ends is where i want to put work into. It looks just fine but to an myself and other MX owners it is noticeable.

And as the lowness goes my sump is fine, its my SRD crossmember thats taking the abuse. Also the shop who did my alignment over tightened my locking rings on the very bottom (the part that bolts to the spindle) and they cant get them loose...niether can i :confused2: and i cant lower it the way i want to. That is raising the bottom housing so the spring and strut can have as much room as possible to move. The ride is now very harsh since lowering just the spring and thats on my 15's that have ALOT of tire (was OEM ride comfort before), I could only image when i put my 18's back on the abuse that car is going to take on the road. I need ideas.....(and no not scrap the 18's lol) I was thinking a pipe wrench or a big a-- locking pliers? and mine you i tried the punch and hammer and i tried to use my coilover spanners but all just kept stripping off :crying: :crying: :crying:

The rear lip is urethane correct? if so then find a scrap bumper in the wrecking yard and cut a couple of flat pieces out of it big enough to make your caps out of. Trace the exact shape you need with like cardboard and cut it with a pair of scissors. Place your cap on there at the end, and if you have a soldering iron then gently melt the inside edges together. If you have spar urethane around then you can use that as filler as well. Then to finish off the outside you can use 2 part epoxy fill in the crack sand and paint. Easy as pie :)

with your nut issue I would use a breaker bar or if you have a large opened wrench you can loop them together for the extra leverage.
