This is a $900 jdm klze:

I absolutely 100% agree with this. I'd effing buy 2 of those junkyard motors right now if I could for $125, that's a STEAL! The ZE's can be really pathetically maintained. Mine was screwed and needed rebuilding. The DE in those pics would eat the ZE for breakfast. No doubt. Sludge cake engines are slow, been there done that.

Im currently trying to get a klze swap done but my mechanic is skeptical about it. He said is is willing to go forward with the swap as long as he can talk to someone that has done it. Are any of you willing to help? if so email me at pstringer5154@mytu.tuskegee.edu

Have your mechanic read the V6 swap FAQ's

http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=34783
http://www.atlantamx3.com/mocaforum/vie ... 07fecde92b

Those two are a good start. Google KL-ZE swap and you'll find more than you can read in a day.

If there are still questions you can ask them here and we will help. It's the easiest engine swap in the tuner universe...literally.

You'll use your same air flow sensor(JE50 VAF) with the KL36 Ecu. Your one source for the ecu will be the internet, but your K8 uses the same air flow sensor.
