R.I.P. Mazdacat :(

Post by Mooneggs »

It's a sad day for me...

R.I.P. Chunky Lou (a.k.a. Mazdacat) 1995-2012...

It's pretty crazy to think that my "little buddy" was with me for almost 17 years (over half my life)! It's tough losing my closest companion outside of human friends, but I'm grateful and thankful for all the time we had. I was thinking back and she moved with me 10 times in 3 different states! The last couple of years have been rough since she had kidney disease and today the vet was amazed she stayed alive and spunky so long after her kidney's started failing. I didn't think I would have the strength to put her to sleep but it was definately for the best as she was very near death already and appeared to be in alot of pain. I'm going to miss you, dear friend! :(

Here's a huge photo tribute (surprise coming from me haha) to one of my best friends!
It's going to be weird taking pics of new car parts and projects without her wandering around in the background... :| :? :crying:

I'm terribly sorry... That has to be a hard decision. I am sure she had a very fulfilled and happy life being your companion.

Are you going to adopt another one? There are so many that need good homes.

Instances like this never feel "real" to me until they happen. I can't imagine losing my little pet, it feels like she'll live as long as I do, even though I know it's not the case.

That's the bad thing about animals..Can not leave so many years like humans..
I know it's very difficult..I had a dog in the past a collie. In his eight year he took a kalazar...
Unfortunately we could not save him and the only solution was to put him to sleep.
Yea very sad moments..

Gutted for you Mark. Know the feeling all too well. Frustrates me that you can't swap out organs like parts. RIP Chunky.

Damn. I know all too well how hard it is to lose a pet, especially after all those years.
My condolences to you. :(

Sorry to hear this mark, sad news indeed. Maybe he is driving a kitty sized MX3 in the afterlife?

Sorry for your loss Mark.
Amazing how a cat can be such a companion. He had a good life and you made a good decision. No need for suffering.

RIP Chunky

The hardest part of having pets is the responsibility we have to them to prevent their suffering. Chunky had a great life and an easy end. That is the best the you or he could possibly hope for.

Having a dad like you is the cat equivalent to winning the lottery.
