Lambo door kit

Post by mazdaspeed23 »

hey i need some opinions, i bought a lambo door kit from www.extremelambodoors.com i got them installed just doing minor adjusting now. but a guy off cardomain messaged me and told me that lambo kit isnt good for the mx3's because they hit on the fender a bit, and the shocks in the kits go like crazy.. Well mine just touch the fender when they open, but keep in mind im still doing adjusting, so i need another opinion from someone who has the lamo kit or had a kit. Should i take them off or leave them on?.

I don't know about fitment and stuff but the extreme doors group buy is legendary in the history of this forum as maybe the single greatest cluster$%^& ever.

A lot of guys on the forum back then never got the parts that they paid for. I think the struts were the big issue.

Personally, I don't think you will be able to get nearly the lifetime of a stock setup out of them. OEM doors are designed to open and close on a straight line, the hinges and catch rods take most of the abuse. Any time you add a strut into the mixture, you're going to have longevity issues.

The bottom sticky under the Appearance title (which sits directly above this thread at the moment) details the legal issues members had with Xtreme doors... Like Wyt said, it's up there with the most famous of GB fails/rip-offs on this forum... Glad you actually got your kit, though, even if it's not advisable to install it... I do agree that it does look fantastic, though...

There's nothing wrong with using it, and if you like it by all means go big or go home. :) You will probably be replacing struts more frequently than you would catch rods though, although this is based on assumption as opposed to experience... Catch rods suck too though. I need 2!
