Wow, your MX-3 is impressively nice. I like all the changes you made to the exterior. They look clean still. In my opinion, its not flashy, but sleek still. I'm not a fan of the white guages haha but thats only because I dont like bright lights in my face when driving at night. I like the painted rims too.

Surprised I haven't checked this worklog out sooner, I think you have one of the best looking mx-3's left on this forum or anywhere for that matter. Are mx-3's rare down in Brazil also? I know I never see them anymore up here in USA.

Tks Guys.....
Here in Brazil is rare a MX-3 in good shape...
But I see a lot of them because we have a club, and almost every cars there are well maintained by their crazy owners, like me and DeepBlueMX3.
At July`s 2011 I went to San Diego-California, and lived there for 1 month, I only saw 4 MX-3....
1 at Downtown - Red
2 at Coronado beach - Black and White
Those 3 were in very good shape..
The last one I saw at SDSU`s Parking lot it was a red one, but it was in a really bad looking =C

Miguelitto, where did you get those brake calipers?? Did you powdercoat the MazdaSpeed lettering on, or did you buy them like that?
Your front bumper looks a little different from the MS bumper, is it a modified one by any chance? If not, where did you buy it?
Your car looks amazing, you've done some great work.

Those brake calipers, I painted, and the mazdaspeed lettering is a sticker for this usage....MrMazda92 wrote:Miguelitto, where did you get those brake calipers?? Did you powdercoat the MazdaSpeed lettering on, or did you buy them like that?

About the front bumper.....
In Brazil, is hard and expensive to import an official MS bumper....
So we did our bumper with glass fiber, based in some pictures from here LOL......
tks fill......fillpereira wrote:The vinyl wrap looks really good! Props to you Sir

Nice! Thanks for the link too, I may get a set of those. How well does the sticker hold up to heat during use? Have you had them on for long?
I like your bumper better too, I think it compliments the curves of the car better than the standard MS front. I like the original, but I like yours better tbh.

tks =D heheEvo_Spec wrote:imo your ms bumper looks better, it has a lot smoother lines
lol, I couldn`t say what is diferent, except for tow hook....
what lines are smother???
they have the curved sticker and the normal, when I bought I didn`t know that they had the curved... IMO the curved is better for the Mx-3MrMazda92 wrote:Nice! Thanks for the link too, I may get a set of those. How well does the sticker hold up to heat during use? Have you had them on for long?

Those white are new(around 3 months), but I had another set of it, and it held up about 1 year, I removed them because I re-painted the calipers....
First I paint the calipers with spray then I wait 1 day, then I put the sticker, after it just varnish(I don`t know if this is the right word, for what I mean, google translated it to me )
I'll try to explain, lol...
varnish = spray to make things shine, and protects the painting.... is this correct?

well the tow hook is one thing that makes it look better to me, seems more "OEM" i don't know why they got rid of it on the actual MS bumper.
one thing that helps it look smoother is the "nose" hole between the headlights. on your car it's the same size as them OEM bumper but on the MS bumper its wider and sharper.
another thing is the.....points on each side of the "mouth" are sharper on the MS bumper and yours are smoother.
one last thing i see is a lot less noticeable but you can see a curve at the side of the bumper, yours curves up a bit more than the MS bumper and leads into a rounder edge at the bottom of the bumper.
i'll make a crappy comparison picture to show you the points i mean

Re: Miguelitto's 97 Blaze Red 1.6 (new pics pg3)
you custom made your ms bumper? wow im impressed. i for one wouldnt even know where to start with something like that. did you cut and modify a stock bumper or start from scratch? was there a mold involved?
