Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
Over the past month I have been noticing my brake fluid is staying low looked all under car for possiable leak looked inside and the driver side floor board is soaked with brake fluid it's comming from under the clutch pedal around the fire wall. What is causing this? Does this mean the clutch mastercylnder is bad?? or is it something else?

Re: Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
I would guess the master cylinder is leaking.

Re: Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
it's looks as though it's comming out around the shaft that screws into the pedal where you can also ajust the slack in the pedal.

Re: Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
The only possible option is master cylinder. rebuild or replace.

Re: Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
Thanks I thought that was it but I needed to be sure before I go spend any money on this. BTW I have a Fidanza V-2 Sprung hub ceramic 6 puck designed for high power builds used on the street or track. Would I need any special high pressure master or stock would do. I think that may have contributed to the fail of this one I didn't have a problem untill I did my build and installed this kit and the fidanza fly.
Ok Got a new master today this is the first one I've done on a clutch do I bench bleed it before I install it or just put it in and go from there?

Re: Brake Fluid in driver side floor board
im not 100% sure but bench bleeding shouldnt hurt. from what ive read masters are a pain to bleed so whatever makes your life easier go for it. even if you get it partially bled its a good building point...
