I know ive seen a couple post on here before, used serch but couldnt find it again. i have jumping rpms when its cold. also car is idling at 2k ive put it into diagnostic mode and spun the screw all the way both ways. Ive also replaced al the gaskets from the head gasket up since completed im getting about 11mpg.. Any help would be much appreciated.

Start by making sure that the coolant level is right up. If the sensor in the throttle body is not submerged in coolant the idle will be affected the way you're describing. With the engine cold and not running, check the radiator level. If it's low remove the top filler cap (at the timing side of the engine) and the coolant will flow down on it's own filling the rad by gravity. Replace the rad cap before it overflows. If the rad is full you can skip that step. Leave the engine cap off and start the engine. Add coolant until the level stops going down and replace the cap. This way the engine and rad will be completely full.
From there, 95% of idle problems are a result of air intake issues. It really nearly always comes back to the intake.

thank you ill check the coolant in the morning. Could be the intake? as in the maf or just something else?

could be a leak, could be a vacuum hose came off. The coolant thing is big though and gives exactly the symptoms you described.

yea it has always had vaccum leaks but it only affects it when it is cold,, that threw me off i figured it was my maf going out also it stops jumping if i push in the clutch and increases if i push the brake.
