K8 ecu tuning

Post by Thefez »

So thruout my reading on here it seems like everyone that boosts uses ms(megasquirt). Im looking to boost like 6psi with a smaller tubo was wondering what other options to tuning these cars there is other then a standalone.

A piggy back.

Its inferior, but works. Not quite as safe either, because you can't actually modify the ignition or fuel maps directly.
Now with Moderator power!

Black '93 BP RS - wrecked, parted, scrapped.
Green GS - Sold.
Black GS - Summer DD/Race car - Fancy KLZE
Red GS - K8-ATX -> MTX-KLDE - Frakencar. Scrapped
White GS - Rusty. Parts. Scrapped
1997 BMW M3 - my summer baby
2002 BMW 325Xi - sold
2003 Forester Xti - EJ20K swapped.

I know a couple of people on here using
http://www.aemelectronics.com/engine-ma ... r-f-ic-12/

myself included very soon going to be installing this, you can modify fuel & igntion and there is a company called boomslang who can make plug 'n play harnesses for it for our cars.

Its always best to find a good mapper first though and see what they recommend or are happiest with using.
