Ok, couldn't find any access plate, so I took the boot off the fork and used a see-snake to take a look. Took forever to get the camera and the cardboard to block the sun positioned, won't be winning any awards for this vid.

The release bearing should always be in contact with the fingers on the pressure plate right? It doesn't sem to be able to exert any pressure on them.

The access plate is the plate that covers the part of the transmission opening that the engine would cover, if it didn't have to become oil pan.

You know how the opening of the transmission is round? Dur, it has to fit the flywheel.

You know how the side of the block looks like a truncated circle?

The access plate is what makes up for that truncation.

Come to think of it, it may be behind the crossmember, which would make it a pain to use, unless you have an impact :)

yea, yea. I kinda thought it might be behind the crossmember. I wasn't about to dig into that today tho.
