hey everyone, hows it goin. werd awesome. k so after i finished my ze swap.. on the first real rip the speedo would kick out and fluctuate like craaaazy then just sit at zero. but then it would kick back on and keep working. does this once and a while.. ive noticed it does it when i just hammer on it. lose cable? orrrr? thanks for the help! cya

pull the harness connector to the speedo drive and clean it with contact cleaner or brake cleaner. Put a bit of dielectric grease on it and see if it works better. If that doesn't work you may have broken a wire during the swap. It's common to break a wire right at the connector as you're pulling them apart and moving them around and tucking them out of the way and stuff.

also check the cable behind the cluster as well. I actually had mine pull out on me when i did the swap.

Possible ground issue too?

Ground issues will cause your lights to dim and stereo to go scratchy when applying the breaks.. had that. fixed that haha. 3000 watt stereo.. i hear every bad sound. :P and i think its something inside my dash.. i got a annoying little rattling noise coming from behind the cluster. and when im say.. doing 50km and drop it into 2nd and just hammer on it. the speedo kicks back on for a bit. lol.

There are grounds inside the dash too.
You can either have a ground issue inside the dash, or a false contact on the pickup wire. Or, of course, either your speedo or the speed sensor can be messed up... :shrug:
