opinion on different color wiper arms

Post by burgess »

so i was thinking lately of possibly painting my wiper arms red. i've only seen 2 cars with different color wiper arms besides black, they were white and blue. i thought they didn't look to shabby. if anyone has and pics of cars with different color wiper arms could you post them for me? i just dont want to paint them red then have to paint them black again because they look tacky. thanks

Different color? Why would you want wiper arms different color, they don't need to stick out. Just paint them semi gloss black like they were from the factory.

I try to avoid attracting attention to things that really aren't exciting. Wiper arms aren't too sexy to me, keep them blended in to the windscreen cowl IMO.

why waste money on wiper blades when im just going to replace them in a few months? and its not really a waste of paint a quarter of a can would do them both so that would be like 1.50$ in paint.... but yeah it was just a thought i figured i'd just like to know peoples opinions.

My advice would be the same as everyone elses so far(sarcasm excluded), Keep it blended with the cowl... Also, don't paint the plastic cover for the post? on the motor, unless you do it carefully... with plastic paint...

My wiper arms were pretty rusty, so I sanded them down and baked them witha heavy coat of Tremclad, worked great, lasted for years without coming off, technically that outlasted the car.

I had the blue-metecallic wipers with the dual-blades back in the day. I love it, but they faded quickly, so I color matched them to the car.

my car came with the led washer nozzles. they are chrome. they are illegal to use in canada so i figured i'd keep them on for that exact reason.
