It seems quite strong compared to the ractive or whatever brand that other one was. It may be hard to give you an accurate idea of what I think because I wont be driving it until the rear bar is on as well.

Well the front and rear give different characteristics. The rear I didn't feel too much but I tightenedi it for autocross to help rotate the rear on hard tight turns. The front would help against understeer.

Love the way your car is looking and can't wait to see some full car shots in the daylight.

Just finished the first drive of the year. It looks like a small leak developed over the winder. Probably just a loose clamp.
I forgot how fast it is. The strut bars were a good addition. The car seems stiff and quick to react.

hey friend

just had a few queestions in regards to your AEM piggy back... What was your interpretations of the AEM tuning softwear? was it easy to use? If you had to make some changes (ex- retard your timing, add more fuel) do you feel confident that you could make those changes yourself?

or would you leave most of the tuning for the professionals?

thanks
Chris

the FI/C was fairly easy to make a base street tune. This was a first for me, but it was harder to wire than base tune. You can work off trial and error, just make sure to work on the RICH side and not LEAN. I am running safe and enjoying the car as is, but I am using lots of premium. The professional touch is needed though. I will be booking a dyno/tune apt very soon. My timing is not retarded as of yet.

I was planning on posting my maps, I don't know if I will after dropping several hundred on a good tune. I am also worried if someone else were to use my maps on a different setup. I would sooner not share than see someone blow their engine. You could probably make a great tune using the data logs, but I'd still leave that to the pros.

As a note, my soon-to-be tuner is certified for all AEM products and has manged to boost a honda to 30psi off this pig.

AEM has some VIDs on their site that will help out. Were I to do it again, I would install the piggy, base it, then add my turbo goodies.

This is good advice, and what a buddy suggested I do when we first
started talking about my AEM setup.

hey friend

was wondering if theres any new news on the mx3? any tuning, storys, any new mods?

after puting in the wrench time and the $$$ were you happy with the results achieved? was it enough of a upgrade in your mind to have spent that kind of money and your time?

thanks always
Chris

Nothing too new as of yet. Will be booking it in for a new 2.5 exhaust asap and then dyno time.

I feel that the power increase so far is great. With out the final tune it should be around KL hp so far. It was far from cheap but I would do it again in a heart beat. There is nothing better than having a car built to your standards and the driving style that you want.

Things have started to slow down a bit on the car. Sorry. I found out a little while ago that I am going to be a father. And NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I am not getting a 4 door in place of my beloved mx. The wife understands and would never ask me to do that.

So don't worry, things are about to get done on the car here soon.

Yeah, being a Dad is no reason to get rid of your MX3. Glad you realized that now rather that selling like most people, and then regreting it later on down the road when they realize there was no reason to get rid of it in the first place...I'm a father of 3 and my kids love my MX3 almost as much as I do
