custom strut braces and body braces, help?

Post by mx3_4_me »

ok im building a strictly preformance mx3 and i am going to be building strut braces and body braces to strengthen stuff up a bit. should i weld them up completely, or should i have just the mounts welded in and the bars bolted? any help with this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Body braces(as in roll cage) I would weld in, but as for the strut braces, I would leave them as bolt on, as it would be a pain to remove them in the event that repairs are needed(ie, removing engine)

Unless you are going to drop the engine every time you need to work on it you are going to have to bolt the braces to the tower in the front at least.
