To a point it would, but it is not as thick as the peel and seal. Also, it would not help for rattles and for speaker sound improvement as much as the peel and seal. But I will get into that when I "renovate" the thread.

While at Home Depot I came across some stuff similar to Peel and Seal called Blueskin and apparently it does the same thing. Only difference is that instead of aluminium its some blue stuff... not sure exactly. But from the research I've done you get the same results. I'll probably go back tomorrow (technically today) and pick some up.

I picked up 3 rolls this week, and am working up the courage to do this. I've got one MX-3 stripped to bare metal on the interior, and am debating doing the entire floorpan... or doing both doors and the strut towers/wheel well in both cars...

I would do the doors and the strut area. The floorpan should be done with heavt rubber mat. Also, undercoat spray your car underneath for added effect

I know you mentioned the doors being the most bang for your buck, would the strut towers honestly be #2? I figured the spots that vibrate the most would benefit from this the greatest, and I'm inclined to use foam for trim cards, as well as the pillars.

The wind is by far the loudest factor of my driving noise. Kind of sad considering I have multiple exhaust leaks, to be honest.

How much would rubber matting weigh, if it covered the entire floorpan? That kind of scares me, I imagine it would be 30+ pounds...

Ya matt is heavy, that's the point.. Mass loading, u have to determine for you if the weight outwieghs the benefits of noise reduction.

A and B pillars would be good to seal with the peel n seal

I may go for multiple layers of Peal and Seal for the floorpan then, after seeing the results of the current application.

I'll hit the doors in the next few days then, probably Monday, since it's a freebie day from work

Anyone have ideas on securing the trim in the trunk? s--- rattles all over... probably doesn't help that a couple pieces are broken in mine
