d.o.t. doesnt mean much. if a cop wants to give you a ticket for aftermarket headlights having a d.o.t. stamp on them isnt going to make a huge difference.

btw my headlights came in the mail the other day. i havnt installed them yet but my first impressions are of pretty good quality. the only problem i noticed was the rubber trim they put on beside the leds wasnt even close to being straight. but that being said its not very important as our cars have rubber trim exactly where it is on the headlights...
Maybe so, but you could easily take the ticket to court and prove they're DOT approved and that you have the legal wattage for your lights. That's about all that matters.

imo I think the smoked tail lights or the clear carb fiber instead of chrome would look good on your car dark cars just look better with dark accents

Mehhh, not to worried about headlights being DOT approved. If a cop's gonna give me a ticket, it'll either be for being too low, speeding, no cat/modified exhaust, etc.... that's if they could catch me first....not saying I'd ever run from the cops or anything...

They'd catch you, you can't beat the radio.
Motorcycles are the only one that might get away from it because they would have trouble reading the plate... Car you don't have a chance lol.

To be fair, "rice" is when you mod your vehicle that in no way enhances the performance of your vehicle. I'd say replacing 18 year old tail lights is enhancing.
Well to be fair stock tail lights are better quality. All I ever read on this forum are how altezzas fog up and get water in them etc etc.]
Plus when I think of altezzas I think of civics.. yuck

I bought those to :] Mine are still in the box though haha, I'm not putting them on until I get my car repainted.

I don't remember who or when and I don't want to be wrong. Didn't mooneggs take Altezzas and put the stock lens over them?

Sorry, just went and checked , He just painted his red. Looks quite good and helps third break light fit in.

I like this style too, I've done it to mine and have kept it because it looks very good on black

This said though, I have had the black altezza lights in my possession but never installed them. I was also highly considering the vertical LED projectors but decided to keep my glass Euro Headlamps: glass so won't fog up, look very nice, are OEM, and better lighting. Whatever you choose is a good choice because you chose it and you like it. Look forward to see what it will be.
