I didn't look to see if I mentioned it before but here's some pics of my black mirrors I scored out at the junk yard. I can't believe these things still had clear coat on them!

Sooo much better. One of the best inexpensive mods you can ever do for your car.

Was going to wait for the weekend to install the struts and springs but no places around here were going to be open to do the alignment so I installed them today and got my 4-wheel alignment done. Wow.... its like riding on freaking air in comparison to what I was riding on.

Was a little unsure about the B&G Springs at first but I gotta say; quite impressed. As far as the struts go... Don't ever order from Jegs! However... Tokico.... freaking love 'em.

Next up:

1.6 Crate Engine.

No engine swap for this one. I've read quite a bit about the engine swaps and though I love the BP and what people here have done with them, I think I'm gonna keep the 1.6 more so out of being "safe" as this is my first Import toy. I know, I know... I'm sure I'm gonna catch an ear full but that's okay. There are some pretty cool things out there that I can do with the 1.6 so I'll keep this one as more of a learning car for me and when I find me a decent G6 out there, I'll go all out on that one. :)

At any rate, I've found me a good spot to get my engine and a really good location to pull out the old one and drop the new one in. Out-the-door price includes some nice extras so looks like it will be pretty plug and play. I'm gonna change out my clutch at the same time as well as rebuild the A/C and change out all of my motor mounts, new battery and tray with new hoses, lines, injectors... yada yada yada and standard tune-up parts (plugs, wires and distributor cap, etc.)

I'd like to have everything under the hood at least close to factory newness within a month or two. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for looking.

Did this today. Nothing major; just an aluminum bezel and the white indiglo gauges. I love this mod though. Enjoy.

Those look just like the ones on eBay, but for some reason there's only 3 KMH ones I've been able to find. However, all from Germany and around $100 rather than 30-40 bucks like the MPH ones. Kind of getting annoying actually. I WANT THEM!

I saw some of the KPH ones but they were all in the green-blue indiglo. Yes, those are the ones on ebay. I've gotta say, pretty easy install and they matched up perfect. Was a little weary of that "gimmick" stuff but this was an awesome buy. Not too crazy about the provided switch and dimmer so this weekend I'm going to hard wire them into the instrument panel lights so I can adjust them through my steering column. Just a matter of bypassing the provided switch, wire direct and tap into the plug pin for the oem light bulbs.

More specifically:

Still too expensive, in my opinion, for what they are. And the backlight is blue anyways. Pretty tacky if you ask me.
