Nice color! I like that dark purp.
Id go with the white rims I think. Gold or bronze looks good on purple as well

white rims are great... for the first five minutes!
Then they just get dirtied and covered in brake dust,
so prepare yourself to keep 'em clean

Re: Sisko's Midnight Purple 1992 MX-3
I haven't done anything all winter for my car because it has just been WAYYY too cold out, even in the garage.
However, I just got some boots and lid cover from RedLineGoods (http://www.redlinegoods.com/) that I have seen a lot of people rave about. I have somewhat installed them, but I anxiously grabbed a couple pictures to throw up on here. I couldn't decide from all the different fabrics, so I just went with straight carbon fiber with black thread...
Shift boot, e-brake boot, and center console lid cover.
Lid cover (has to be glued on the the lid and I have yet to do that)
And the old, dirt, cracked boot compared to the new one
Been having problems putting the e-brake boot on.... hopefully will have some luck. It didn't come with holes already cut so its somewhat difficult.
That's about it for now. Hopefully the snow and the cold go away soon!

Re: Sisko's Midnight Purple 1992 MX-3
Its finally somewhat warm this week, so I took advantage of that since my car is parked until most of the snow is gone anyways. Two days ago I gutted the inside of my car because yesterday I went and did the same to another Mx-3 for the seats and the center console. Here are some pictures of my desperately-needs-to-be-cleaned interior.
A bunch of seats now sitting in my garage:
I'm going to leave all of the seats (except the driver seat) out for another month or so (like I said, its parked for the winter anyways), and then once the temperature is warm for good for the season, I am going to sound deaden the whole car with the help of that thread posted back in September in the Appearance section.

I just got a set of the Rota Grid's for my mx3. The +10 offset sticks out a bit from the car. (at least in the rear as I have not done a test fit of the front yet.)
We all want to be fast and look cool. Cool changes but fast never does.

Offset in the +40s is what would fit.AaronTietje wrote:I just got a set of the Rota Grid's for my mx3. The +10 offset sticks out a bit from the car. (at least in the rear as I have not done a test fit of the front yet.)

I will stretch the tire and give myself some camber to get the look that I want.

Re: Sisko's Midnight Purple 1992 MX-3
I finally got the center console lid cover put on. Took a bit of work, but with the help of my girlfriend (and her getting a pretty rank blister on her hand from accidentally brushing on the tip of the glue gun), we got it done. Took some photos along the way.
I decided I wanted some padding under the cover, and the site I got them from wanted to charge like $15 if not higher for like 1/2 of foam, so I just went to Wal-Mart and got a square foot of foam for 2 bucks.
Measured out the width and cut.
Then busted out a bread knife and cut the thinness.
Glue gun time. You can see it oozing out from under the cover, but I clipped a lot of it off, and its on the inside anyways so you don't even see it.
Snipped the two corners so there wasn't a bunch of folding going on.
Then glued those corners down.
And finally...
I also painted my wipers (not the actual wipers but the metal parts), which were faded, rusted, and just plain ugly.
Comparing a finished blade compared to unfinished blade.
Rear wiper.

I bought some leather skins for my back seats off a member here on the forums, then I'll eventually get front leathers.solo_ryder wrote:What interior are you putting back in? The same stuff? Buy my SE stuff haha

Re: Sisko's Midnight Purple 1992 MX-3
So I've mentioned it in a few posts, including my for sale thread, but I initially bought an LED Dome Light from Evo_Spec, but it didn't have a sunroof button so I resold it. Instead of looking for another already modded dome light, I just bought some 194 LED bulbs off eBay to replace my current bulbs. Why I didn't do this to begin with, I don't know. Perhaps it was just laziness.
Like many others on this forum have said, the LED dome light mod makes a world of difference. Nothing major, but I'm bored, so I thought I would do a quick post with a couple pictures. Can't get any good night pictures showing just how bright the LEDs are, but just do the mod yourself, and you'll see.
