Just bought a hatch garnish,
will need spraying at the shop as its blue
but cant wait to fit it and possibly
a new different spoiler later on.

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
I've followed both your threads for a long time but realise i've never commented neither of them..
I think your doing a great job, the front bumper looks excellent and suit the car very well. I also like the taillights. Good luck with the alfa-spoiler, i think it will fit well too.
But i think you need some clean sideskirts? Like the OEM ones?

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
Wow taken back by the great responses, thanks
Funnily enough I did train as an artist/sculptor,
quite some ago now though! always been a petrol head too
petiec you know dat s--- to be true
The Alfa spoiler has no flex in it at all, so it will
be a cut 'n paste it to get it to fit nice, but I think
I have formulated a plan already.
Side skirts, yeah OE would be nice, but that isnt going
to happen in all honesty. I see what you mean about skirts
though Unclegreg making the lines all at the same level across
the entire car, but what I dont want to do is make the side of the
car look larger/too deep, heres some I have considered:

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
Three great choices, l think the red looks a little bit thick might make the car look heavy? at least at that angle. The other two pretty good would suit your front bumper more then the red one. Still great choices, looking forward to seeing more great pics.!

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
Civic ones are my favourite out the bunch I reckon,
wont make it look too thick and matches up to front splitter,
and also reseambles the euro mini skirts at the rear
another cool thing is, there 70 pounds to buy new!

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
started playing around with
the vitaloni californian mirrors I got.
original plan was to fuse them to the
original baseplate but thats not going to
work i dont think, so Im either going to make
a whole new base plate, or mount them to the door
recess left by the old mirror and make a blanking plate.

Re: UK Sam's 1.6 Turbo MX-3 project
Gave up on that idea, as it was too ambitious!
So sold those mirrors pronto and bought these
Gen2 mirrors, wich are going in for finishing and
painting soon at the same bodyshop who sprayed
my bumper.
