Keeping my projectors clean

I just got my spyder projector lights yesterday and im wondering if any of you guys have done anything to protect the lense, such as putting a layer of clear coat or if there such a thing as like clear plastic to put over the lense. I'm gonna call a few places today to see what I can do.

My last option is the clear coat method. it'll feel like I'm taking away the newness in it lol. Anyways, I'd like to get some ideas of what you guys would or have done to keep the lenses looking sexy clear

No clear coat, just keep them waxed. Mine are still new after two years.

what kind of wax you using?

3M makes plastic film to cover them... works great and if you remove it does not damage or leave glue on the lense. It can be clear, smoked or other colors too

Ill have to check out that 3m film.

Would any recommend putting some silicone seal around where the lense is already sealed on too? I've read that some peoples light weren't sealed very good and last thing I want is fogged up lenses in the inside. I deal with enough fogging from my taillights lol.

I wouldn't really sweat it (ha). The bulbs run hot, and would keep any vapour off of the lens when the lights are on. when its off they might fog, but when your lights are on, it won't affect the drivability.

so after installing them lol no surprise, i got fog in the driver side light, my both my driver side tail light and headlight are twinners

hopefully the light will burn hot enough to get the water vapors out

Didn't have a problem with fog. But then again I opened mine up and painted them before I even installed them... I don't remember if I just put the lenses back on with some heat or if
I used Hi-Temp silicone... I might have used the silicone, I hope I don't have to open them again.

Damnit, I just there's a big spindly bug in the passenger side one, I have no idea how it got in.

No moisture though, never had a problem with that. Construction on aftermarket stuff like this is far from ISO though, so you're probably getting something different every time.
