Manual Steering

Post by NLP303 »

Hey I read on the suspension FAQ that you can put a 323 manual steering rack on my 95 RS MX3.

I found out that Auto Zone (my local parts store) has a new remanufactured unit for $210 but it says it doesnt come with the mounting bushings. Are these bushings something my 95 MX3 steering rack already has??

I also found another web page (link is below) that has the manual rack for $300 but im not sure if im getting all the inner and outer tie rods with it. I remember reading on the FAQ that you can swap out tie rods with the p/s rack so no big deal.

Do you guys know If its the 89-94 323 or the 85-89 323s that have the steering rack that fits our MX3s?

My money would be on the 89-94, although that's an assumption based on the fact that the timeline of the model matches the MX-3. I may be way off, in which case you should disregard my statement.
