TIming belt
Hey My timing belt broke and I wanted to know if anyone can send a right up on how to change it

it'd really help if we knew what car/engine you have, assuming because you posted this in the 4cyl area that you have a 4cyl? SOHC or DOHC?
while your replacing your belt i recommend you replace your water pump as well, and if you really want to go the extra step you can replace the cam and crank seals (assuming your not gonna be dumb and is buying a timing belt component kit and not JUST a belt, in which case i recommend getting the kit with the idler and tensioner)
if you have a DOHC this will help a lot, even if you have a SOHC it'll give you a good idea

Its easy as pie. Plenty of room to work on that motor. The timing is fairly intuitive.

i am having trouble taking off the belt that on the power sterring pump how do i take off the belt and is the bolt for the crank pully hard to take off i ask because i am changing the timing belt on the street and its cold i have no choice because the old belt broke . the diagram is helpfull the belt on the power sterring

at the bottom of that page it shows how to remove the alternator belt. The alternator itself is the tensioner.

at the top of that page is the PS pump. the PS pump itself is the tensioner.
Crank pulley is 200 ft lbs, lots of guys jam their breaker bar against the A arm or ground and tap the starter to get it off.
