Ask the guys here who have done a BP in a 94+, cause that detail I couldn't tell you.

your asking useless questions, i haven't full read this thread to know what's really going on, but from what i got is that you have a BPT and a 93 mx-3.
all you have to do is pull out the SOHC, leave the engine harness intact, and put the BP in and hook everything up, it's that simple

also, if you have the BP engine harness, you can just unhook the engine harness from inside your car and pull the SOHC with it's harness attach, and put in the BP with it's harness and just plug it in your car and ECU

as long as you don't have a 94+ you don't have to worry about anything wire related

Your syntax is killing me.

You want to plug a SOHC into a BPT harness?

A BPT has a turbo, hence the T... don't you imagine there's a few extra sensors?

Please do us all a favour and READ the FAQ section here and con ClupProtege. Unless you want to pay one of us to swap this for you... then contact someone and ask them trivial questions.

The thing that a lot of new car owners seem to miss is that you can't do something like a motor swap without the background knowledge. Rocket scientists don't build rockets without going to school, you can't read "How to build a rocket ship for dummies". We can't just TELL you bolt by bolt what to do because every swap is different with its own little kinks. You need to know how to deal with these, and the only way you'll be able to do this is with a thorough understanding of the swap.

if you have a G-series tranny then you'll want to use the north american BP flywheel's, one's from the Mazda Protege's or Ford Escorts.
You'll also want the pressure plate and clutch for them as well.

you know, we're only helping you so much because we've realized that we have been a little too harsh to some of the new people in the past and some bad arguments have broken out.
we've learnt from our mistakes and we're trying to prevent this now by answering some of your questions and then guiding you to where you can research every question you've asked has already been answered.
I haven't been here since the beginning helping, but from reading what i've read i'm already frustrated with you not helping yourself at all and just keep asking questions, sometimes the same questions in a different manner and i can tell that it's starting to frustrate the other people who have been helping you from the beginning.
so do yourself a favor and go through this thread again and read every single LINK, that the other poster's have left you, that alone should give you a good idea on what you need to do for the swap.

to you the questions are trivial because you know the answer if i know the answer then i would not ask the questions would i

i did get the background knowledge but it seems i get road block on this forum with theses kinds of answers. im not asking bold by bolt any more just the wiring and if it is just that easy then why all this after i said if thats all 100% plug and play then why not just say yes with out the extra words well then maybe you should give me the links instead of giving me this pointless lecture. on this site i have got help and i thanks you for that but i also got the run around alot too and i can say alot of my questions are stupid but if i would have some more planed info like a online manual of the swappables then i would not have to ask 1001 questions and i could just look them up like the fuel psi for the bpt< for one idk if the person is just telling me what i want to hear or if it is real. so i asked someone how has assess to the pdf so i can put it up for you all to get to. im trying to help stop stupid questions like mine. and helping my self in the mean time.

p.s. Nd4SpdSe was the one how told me this so if you have a problem with a question then talk to the source of the answer ...

cricketol2 wrote:a 1993 but what does that have to do with my question
Ummm, if you have a 92-93 SOHC, you keep your harness, if you have a 94-96 DOHC, you change your harness or have fun modifying it.

:freak:
so Ryan please keep up with what has been said

We help those to help themselves. Althought we're here to help, we're not here to spood feed everyone what they're looking for since they don't want to look in the FAQ, stickies or use the convinient Search feature. Your questions are EASILLY answered those ways; they are the most basic in questions when it comes to the swap that if would you would of done at least SOME research, questions about the harness, trans, flywheel would of easilly be answered. The fact that you questioned me questioning you about the year of your car just shows how you haven't looked into anything at all...we are here to help those that help themselves.

Noone is trying to break your balls here man. What it comes down to is that many of the people here started out without this info and did it themselves and documented it here for your viewing pleasure, or came here to find these answers and researched. To undertake a project of this caliber you should be reading yourself to blindness. I myself was on this forum researching until 2:00 this morning and look where I'm at now  Measure twice, cut once. Read ten times, read it again, print it, keep it next to you like a preacher with a bible, read it again, THEN start shopping.

thats funny still because your still lecturing me and not giving me links. so i can help my self im not making you change it for me am i so how are you helping by telling me to find it my self. thats self defeating and if your referring to this link http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=24 that does not narrow anything down so please get off your high horse and just give links . and im only wanting things i cant find in the FAQ ok.

and if you have a book then tell me what you asked for so i can get one i when to a mazda dealer and they looked at me like i was crazy they never heard of a BPT before ok so please something is better then you complaining about me asking questions i thought thats what this place was for help. not to get pissed at the noobs . so please grow up and help not complain if you dont want to help and tell me to find it my self why tell me that. by your silence that is one way to tell me and giveing me miss info does not help at all
