i am always slightly having to adjust my vaf, one way or the other
but for a few weeks i have left it alone
today
it locked up on me while accelerating and stayed at or too close to 100% Arrflow which prevented me from giving gas.
do i just need to adjust this CW?
Should i just bite the bullet ad buy a MegaSquirt?
Scary as hell when you need to give gas but then it hits the fuel cut off.
Thanks
VAF 100%

Adjusting the VAF???? Are you talking about the JE50? Is the unit dirty?

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Re: VAF 100%
Dan- The four banger units can be "adjusted" if you know what you are doing. I would get a new VAF if that one is giving you so much trouble. It is alot more trouble and expense to get a MSnS and instal it...
But if you have a BP-t or BPT then the MSnS will be a good HP investment and much more worthwhile.

Re: VAF 100%
I do have a bpt.
i think it turns out that my safc has a poor connection to stock ecu so i tied it down a little and that might have resolved the issue.
the safc might have been shorting out a little.
does anyone know if the fuel relay near the stock ecu should get hot?
thanks
