Why not call a garage your familiar with and get a price from them. If your not experienced with flaring lines then forget it but buying pre made and flared lines works. Take off the lines and go to a store and compare or at least measure them then go to the parts store and see what they have. You can't bend the lines with out a bending tool. Small bends ok but what happens is the line will collapse at the circumference [bend] if you dont use something to bend it around like even a pipe or something.

Make sure you don't get stainless steel line, as they need a special, 37 degree flaring tool, that's very hard to find. Also, make sure you buy a double flaring tool, as I think Mazda lines have double flares.
And buy some extra line, so you can practice flaring. It's not difficult, but you need to know what you're doing...
Harbor Freight has several different, very inexpensive, but good quality tube benders.

Let us know how it goes. :)

If I were replacing hard brake lines I would use this link. The cunifer line is much easier to install and actually a superior product. The flaring tool they promote on the web site is also top notch. They sell the tool but will also rent it to you for $25 / week. Assuming the undercarriage of your car is not as badly rusted as the brake lines then the hard brake lines are worth replacing. Definitely check this place out first. They have a technical help section that will help you size your lines. Replacing hard lines is a big time consuming job but not that expensive compared to other major car repairs. Good luck!

Hey we could do a group buy with De fabricating the lines. Lets say 5 orders minimum at how much per line? So much for your spare time De. :P

I went first thing this morning to Advanced auto. They didnt have their sh1t together
enough to get my business. They had 1 coil of line with no tags, and it looked like
some had been cut off of it. They said it was less then 15ft and the cost was almost 25.00 bucks...
So i headed over to auto zone (where i wanted to go in the beginning)
There, I found a superior product for under $20.00 bucks. YAY me!
I then headed to Harbor Freight to get my (on sale items) bender and flare tool....

De: take a look at your brake lines.

Image

If the flares look like the one in the left, you're good with your flaring kit.
If they look like the one in the right, you will need this kit:

Image

I'm telling you this because I'm not sure, but I think they will be double flares (like the one on the right), and if you do single flares, your brakes will leak.
Sorry...:(

You're welcome. One more thing: if you need the double flare set, and you return the set you bought, you will need a pipe cutter.

This is the bender you need:

http://www.harborfreightusa.com/usa/ite ... egoryName=

I couldn't find the right pipe cutter in their site. the same kind of cutter that's in the flaring set you bought will do, as long as you don't have to cut in tight spaces, but, if you can find it, there's one that uses the same principle, but it's much smaller than that.

That's the one.
If you have a cutter, you don't need to keep the other set. It's actually pretty crappy.
Besides, you can make single flares with the double flare set.

And you're welcome again, and again...
