Has anyone been sucessful at pressing the bracket housing off the intermediate shaft (bearing intact)? If so, how did you do it? I'm going to attempt to switch the brackets myself so I can at least use one of the three shafts I have.

Re: Intermediate shaft

So let mwe get this straight so I don't waste money buying he half shaft lol. I sold my 3 bolt mx3 mtx half shaft because I was going to ditch the v6 swap all together. Well now I've decided to go ahead and finish the project. The 2 mx3s in the jy both have 2 bolt IS.

I could:
A: use the mx3 2 bolt IS by drilling out the 2nd hole and only using 2 bolts to hold the IS to the kl block or....
B: use a probe gt/mx6 v6 mtx 3 bolt IS

Am I right? There's tons of probes and 626s in the jy with mtx and 3 bolt IS so grabbing one of those won't be a problem. Just need an answer relativly fast

Any mx-3 V6 5spd Intermediate shaft will work (2 or 3 bolt). The MX6 and PGT should be the same as well (just make sure you're NOT pulling one out of an auto tranny as they won't work (the bracket is too big). The input and output spline counts on these Intermediate shafts are the same.

Only a bolt line. I had to drill an additional hole and cut the upper part of the reason that struck the belt to prevent September 1994 differs from the engine. 94 + 2 a night like shadow bolt says. I have 2 bolt my car and I am just running the two bolts. It works also point Thi, but sitting in a very flash 3 MX3 92-93 is the best. Probe should act, but the shaft diameter or the number of cv splines can have different IDK.
