Front Suspension
Front Suspension
So I recently bought a 96 MX3, it's been my dream car since I was like 16. It wasn't in running condition when I bought it, but I'm slowly rectifying that issue. The other day, I was moving it in the driveway when I noticed a loud clunking sound, anytime that I turned the wheels right or left. Got down on my hands and knees to figure out what the problem was, and my coil spring is snapped. In 2 Places! Now I've done a lot of research on my own, and I know there's a recall for this exact problem, but unfortunately, it only covers '92-'95 models. While speaking to Mazda on the phone, I asked them how much it would cost for the replacement part and they told me it's $175. Believe me I'm pissed. I'm excited to get this baby on the road, and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what's the best (cheapest) way to fix the problem. I'm thinking wreckers, but wanted some other opinions. BTW, I would like to avoid lowering the car (for now), or having to pay for a whole new suspension.

Re: Front Suspension
92-95 are probably listed because the 96 is Canadian only. You are better off telling every parts/service company it's a 95. Look into the recall. Your springs are the same part #'s

Re: Front Suspension
used ones from the wreckers will be your best bet if you cant get mazda to cover them.
Re: Front Suspension
