Well, I don't want to, but it's time to admit that I just won't be fixing my sweetie up any time soon, and the guy whose garage it's being stored in wants her gone. So, I hope that someone out there is either looking for a new project, or a bunch of you are looking to replace a bunch of stock parts. First, the bad. I've never had the money to tweak her out other than adding a K&N filter, and I have to admit that she's in pretty rough shape right now. She burns oil, and I believe that the water pump went the day that I parked her at my friend's place. I'm in SW Ontario (Guelph, actually) so the underside has the expected amount of rust, along with parts of the rear wheel wells. And someone rubbed along the driver's side bumper hard enough to snap off a piece of the bumper cover and leave me some lovely streaks along the driver's quarter panel. No note on the windscreen when I came out of the mall, though. You'll see it in the pics.
On the good side, most of the interior is still in really good shape, and the tires have only one seasons wear. As well, I can throw in a spare gas tank that I was going to use to replace the one on her which has a crack along the seam half way up.
Much as I would hate to see it happen to her, she might now be best as a parts car - but I'd love for someone in Ontario who wants a challenge to take her in and give her a good home. We're supposed to post a price in these ads, so I'll say $500 bucks, but I'm more interested in hearing from someone who might be able to use her as a high school project or the like.
I've had some absolutely fantastic times with this car - my wife and I have taken her west to Wisconsin, east to Ottawa and Quebec City, and down to Kentucky, and had great times everywhere in between. But it's time to part.
Oh, almost forgot - I've also got two leather seats from an MX-6 that I was going to install, but also never got around to doing. They're in reasonably good shape, but could use some a good wipe down and some leather conditioner. The driver's side is, not surprisingly, more worn than the passenger's, which is in great shape. Let's say $150 for the pair. Check the pics below as well.
