Psycotic Kustomz 93 MX-3 worklog

Ok so I bought my MX-3 about 6 months ago with 93,000 miles on the clock. Before I bought the car I did alot of research on the car itself, and found out that I am the third owner (original owner, the dealership I bought it from and Me) and I also contacted the original owner of the car and found out that she still had all of the original paperwork from when she bought it and all the reciepts of everything that had ever been done to it. Needless to say that sold me on the car and I paid cash for the car, well under blue book mind you. Now I didnt take any pics of the car when I brought her home but I have been taking pics as I have been upgrading, hope ya enjoy.

I pulled the stock steelies off and threw on a set of Katana 17"s as well as tinted the side marker and tail lights.


Just a couple of night shots, sorry they were taken with my blackberry.


I gave the car a good cleaning and added a 5" black stripe and took some nice angle shots.


I decided to clean up the engine bay a little bit, nothing too major (I have plans ha ha ha).lol



I got the system for the car,full MTX, and a customs built box to fit in the trunk of the MX-3




System fully installed with all of the trim panels in, looks baller.








Did a little bit of interior work, not done yet but its too damn cold outside to do any more right now.


Ok so while I was driving the other day I hit something in the road and busted the exhaust at the catalytic converter, so I went ahead and custom built a 2 ½” exhaust that goes under the rear cross member rather than over. All I gotta say is it sounds mean.

Now Ive been doing a lot of research on the upgrades for the MX-3 and have decided to do a motor swap. I am currently in negotiations with a guy who has a complete 93 Capri XR2 with the B6T in it. If everything goes as planned I will be dropping in the B6T into the MX-3 and doing a few other upgrades, but until then.

Im running stock suspension, but what ever I ran over didnt bust the exhaust right away but it cause enough of an exhaust leak that I started smelling exhaust in the car every time I drove the car.

So I got bored today and decided to do a little more work on the interior.



I A and B pillar covers off and sprayed some black prime on them.


Then I sprayed some aluminum metallic over all the pieces.

Then I recovered the headliner with some black felt, looks pretty good to me.


Looks pretty good all put back together, now all I gotta do to finish the interior is do a little bit of upholstery work on the on the doors, bottom B pillar covers, rear seat and get some nice seats for the front. Cant wait till the end of the month so I cat start on my B6T swap.

I only paid $1300 USDM for the car.
