A kit like that better not exist.
That is a custom thing, not for noobs.

Next time, search first. Read the worklogs... and for sh!t sakes, list your damn engine.

extra 120? the KLZE is 200HP @6500rpms 160lb-ft tourque @5000rpms right off the assembly line, ive only added about 80 extra HP.. My uncle is one of the biggest mechanic in my area, and he told me to get a turbocharger for my car an he will set it up so the car will be around 500hp, lol so im looking for a turbocharger. I found one on ebay it comes with everything it needs to be hooked up with execpt the Manifolds, and down pip i believe. the guy is selling it for $600, good deal? what should i watch for?. oh and its universal fit all

I don't want to sound insensitive here...I really don't. But that is ludicrous.

First...the ZE RATING is ~200hp. That means that with drivetrain losses on stock form it's probably putting 160...maybe 170hp on the ground.

Second...80hp (let alone the 120hp number suggested which is far more accurate) could not be added to the ZE, or any K series engine given the aftermarket and tuning potential without a major power adder like forced induction or a rebuild with high compression and a stroker kit or the like. If your car is still naturally aspirated and runs on pump gas you are not...in any way, shape or form...producing 280whp. With 10psi of turbo boost...you may still not hit 280whp.

I'm sure your dad is a great mechanic and I'm sure that your engine is strong. But 280whp would put you in the top ten among guys running very sophisticated turbo setups. The best output I've ever seen or heard of from a N/A ZE with stock parts and only bolt on modifications is 188whp from a long time member here with dyno results to confirm it.

280 is simply not true and to my knowledge the highest output ever achieved by an MX-3 owner was just over 400 by Rebel2k. 500whp would require 30+psi boost on an engine making 180whp naturally. Possible but not realistic.

As far as your question about ebay turbo kits...

The concensus is that the majority of the components in one of those kits is crap. The turbo may be acceptable, but the BOV and other critical controlling components are cheap knock offs. You can use them and it has been done successfully but if you are the kind of person who considers quality important we suggest purchasing higher quality name brand components.

Also note that to boost beyond about 7psi you will need to upgrade fuel delivery components (fuel pump, injectors, FPR) and engine management is required for effective engine control (Megasquirt or some other programmable engine management hardware) regardless of boost levels.

well, my KLZE isnt stock, i have up graded injectors and fuel pump, throttle body/spacers, bushings, motor mounts, forced induction, everything that is needed to have a turbo in and work perfect is already done, i have limited slip aswell. And its not my dad lol i said my uncle. And trust me he knows what hes talking about, he took a stock v6 engine and boosted it up to 500hp, without NOS or turbocharger/supercharger. Did i mention hes a race car driver lol. this guy could rip an engine apart an put it back together with his eyes closed.

 If you have "forced induction", then why are you asking where to get a turbo? Are you aware of what forced induction is?

None of those mods that you listed will increase your power to 280 hp.

Do yourself a favor and try to keep a shred of dignity...

Butt dyno does not equal real dyno.
Took the bp+t out of the mx and swapped it into a 95 escort wagon. ;)

Adding fuel doesn't make more power unless you are adding air as well...otherwise you're just making it richer.
moneyshot23 wrote:throttle body/spacers, bushings, motor mounts
None of these things make significant power increase. Oversize TB might net you a couple...10 at most. Bushigns and motor mounts might make the whole thing feel better, but don't make anything more powerful.
moneyshot23 wrote: forced induction, everything that is needed to have a turbo in and work perfect is already done
Leads me to believe that you do not understand forced induction.

moneyshot23 wrote: i have limited slip aswell.
Again...not a power adder.

moneyshot23 wrote: And its not my dad lol i said my uncle. And trust me he knows what hes talking about, he took a stock v6 engine and boosted it up to 500hp, without NOS or turbocharger/supercharger.
Not a KL he didn't and this statement in general leads me to question how you and he are determining these hp figures.
moneyshot23 wrote: Did i mention hes a race car driver lol. this guy could rip an engine apart an put it back together with his eyes closed.
So could I, and yet I still cannot magically create massive hp from thin air.

Your claims are ridiculous. Without substantiation you will not recieve a warm reception here I'm afraid.
