Is this necessary??
I don't know how it's called, but I know this little piece of metal often rust and damage the wheel. So my question is, are they required or is there's any plastic model that wouldn't rust??

Hey Wazup..<P>That peice of metal is needed. It was put on to balance your wheels. The next time you go balance your wheels you can ask them to replace the weight for you. There is no plastic versions of the wieght available.

since you just got some falkin's, when you go to have them mounted see if they can mount the weights on the inside of the wheel or use the stick on weights that mount behind the spokes of your wheel. If your very concerned about the condition of your wheels (mounting can scratch wheels) have your wheels mounted at Hot Spot in Gatineau (they have the best tire machine in the ottawa region).
