What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
hmm you are right for GS values. for RS values, 205/40 is actually the closer fit. but i coulda swore last time i looked into this, 205 was -1.5% and 215 was +1.5%. i do remember it was a different website, and i never put in the stock values, it just autofilled from a pull down vehicle select menu
Re: What do you think? 205/50/r15 Motegi R7
Ok for sh*ts and giggles I did the math.
205/40-17= 104 kms per hour or 65mph
205/45-17= 107.6 67.24
205/50-17= 111.5 69.47
So by trading up tires sizes we could eliminate the need for an MX-6 tranny if we're looking for better hwy kilomerage/mileage.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Yeah unless I am getting a good deal I'm not doing it. I could be spending that money on more important things lol.ninjajim4 wrote:those 15's look good on the car -- i didn't think they would. i think the silver would look better, now that i see the photoshop, but i wouldn't do it unless i got a great deal on it.
there is no direct equivalent in the 17 inch. 205/40/17 is slightly too small, 215/40/17 is slightly too large. the +/- is the same, so they will both be equally inaccurate on the speedo, in opposite directions. if there were such a thing as 210, that would be perfect. i use 205/40 because they are cheaper
My RS came with 14" tires =/solo_ryder wrote: 205 55 15.
205 45 is actually larger then stock but not by much 215 40 is almost dead on. Here is a awesome site to determine what tire to use:

I am speaking specifically about GS models. At the end of the day I don't really care about the speedo stuff, just a tire that looks right and fills the fender properly.

Why 15s....................?????
Too small...need 16s or even 17s.............
My 2 cents

I like having a smaller tire. I can whip around corners quick with 'em

You forgot the extra horsepower your going to need to turn those babys... just go with 15 rota slipstreams for the win, sexy and lightDaninski wrote:Ok for sh*ts and giggles I did the math.

If the Motegi MR7's are your taste, you'd like the Konig Tantrums. Same rims, different brand basically.
Those two were my all time fav...were... After much searching, I realized they were everywhere. So I set my sights on a different rim. In the end though, I still wouldn't hesitate to get a set of either the Konig's or Motegi's.
