Mercury Capri Motor?

Post by est1985 »

I came across a turbo 1.6l with 140k miles on it out of a 91 Mercury Capri. The guy has the transmission (manual), mass air flow sensor, ecu, and new axles, but he doesn't have the wiring harness. Does anyone have experience with this particular swap?

its a b6t.

do a little research over on clubprotege, seems to be more popular with them.

it will be DBI, but sourcing a harness/ecm may be difficult

I'm not sure, to be honest. The guy gave me very VERY little info on it. Since he doesn't have the wiring harness, I'm thinking of looking elsewhere. It's so cheap that I kinda don't want to pass it up though.

Thanks! I still have a lot to learn, so I appreciate any help/input you have to offer.

I definitely will. I'm just exploring my options right now. I've found a few complete cars with minor issues that peaked my interest. There are a few things missing on my car (like lock cylinders) that I would like to pull from the donor car.
