[WTB] MAZDA BP motor
Bringing this back from awhile ago.. Im wanting to buy a MAZDA BP motor. It looks like i may have to throw some cash at my B6 soon, So why do that when i am wanting to swap soon, And i can just put the money into the BP. Don't have alot of cash as im still in school, So affordable prices would be nice
. I hope to get some sellers this week! Thanks!

Re: [WTB] MAZDA BP motor
check the FAQ. a few good writeups in there.
But generally, into a SOHC, you only need to run a VICS wire and swap the gauge thermosensor, oh, and change the fuel rail connector.
into a DOHC you need to lengthen a few wires and its generally easier to just grab the BP (or a SOHC) harness

Re: [WTB] MAZDA BP motor
you should do some more research on this for you car. It took me quite a while to figure everything out, but it was worth it. As far as wiring goes, not only do you need a harness and ecu, but you will need to rewire the other 3 plugs connected to your ecu, the 2 small white ones and the black one. There are a couple wires in those plugs that have to be changed so your cluster will work properly. I got my information on that stuff from the 2 shop manuals that I got right from mazda, one for the 90-94 pro and one from the 94+ mx-3.
Like it was said above, not being rude here, but search around a bit and you will be glad you did in the long run. Also check out clubprotege.com, they have a lot of usefull info on there and people are always selling the parts you are looking for. Off the top of my head, there is one guy selling a BP ecu for $20.....smokin' deal.
Good luck and have fun researching.
Jeff
