EGR pipe from header to engine.

Post by lerutis »

Hi !

I'm just about to lift my K8 engine from my MX3 engine bay, man i'm thrilled :)

I just have one slight problem, the EGR pipe that came along with the headers are way to short and won't reach to the engine bay.

What i have is a KLZE from a Xedos 9, pulling 170HK, and it's weird i know, i can't find any KLZE with just 170hk? :o The ECU that came along is a KL70-18-881B

Anyways, what i'm wondering is if i can just plug the EGR, will it change something for the emission tests? Sweden do have a slight different plan on the emission test than other countrys i'm afraid. What will plugging the EGR mean to the ECU/Engine whatever?

This is my last thing to fix and then i'm a MX3 GSR owner :]

Best regards

Erik

On most KLZE emgines the intake has no passage for the EGR to recirc the gases. We hook up the egr to satisfy that PITA trouble light meaning you don't need to connect the exhaust tube just hook up the electrical and because the lines were there I hooked up the coolant lines as well.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
