My rear brake isn't engaging. The rotor is all gross and never hot.
Any quick fix? Or should I just replace the caliper?

they're not very expensive with the strength of the dollar you'll get a really good deal on ebay or rockauto. Get new ones.

Re: Rear Caliper Seized ?
i say break em down and re grease the slide bolts. you'd have to take it all off to put a new one on anyway. when they're properly lubed, you should be able to slide the caliper around on those bolts even by hand

Or in my case, the main piston.

Up here in the land of the ice and snow, I've never been able to get the seized pins out without destroying them.

Re: Rear Caliper Seized ?
chicago is not much better.
when i first got the car i had to pull the whole assembly and bring it to a machine shop to get the bolt out of the caliper. i was literally in disbelief when i saw afterward how easily it is SUPPOSED to come on and off. now i try to maintain on a somewhat regular basis...
like i said, might as well give it a go before buying parts since you'll have to cross that bridge either way
