importer has confused me about my ECU.
Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
Crap, where did you get the crimp connector for the ECU plug? I couldn't find one at RadioShack that's the right size - they're all too big.

Whisper, I just wired mine up.. Stole a connector from a old harness I had laying around
I put one of the wires to the ground by the little relays in the top pass corner there.. a 10mm bolt
Wired the other wire to the empty slot on the smallest plug on the ECU, 2G I think, but you will see the empty slot there. Tested it out and it works now.. car is really quiet haha

Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
Alright, I managed to fab an ECU crimp to connect to 2G.
Unfortunately I don't have a spare harness, so I have no extra sensor plug. I'll just connect the wires directly to the sensor. Does it matter which wire goes to ground and which to ECU?

Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
Well I grounded the pin that was on the passenger side of the sensor. The one closest to the driver side is the ecu one
Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
Yay, success. I just copied the wire position from the primary sensor (and grounded where you said you did yours) and so far so good, everything seems to be working as intended, no CTS code, fans turn on and off at appropriate times. Although now idle is kind of all over the place, so I'll have to set TPS and IAC.
I can't really tell if it runs better or not, but at least it works.
Thanks for all the info, guys.

Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
This should be put into the FAQ titled "94 mx3 fan always on fix" or something like that. Ive been looking for this for a long long time and not my issue is fixed.

Re: importer has confused me about my ECU.
I have a 94 MX3 with a KLZE swap, but we are using a 93 MX6 ecu. SOOOO we only have 1 thermosensor and the ecu throws a code for the other missing sensor. would it be possible to send the signal from the 1 thermosensor that I have to the pins on the ecu where the other thermosensor wires should be?? (This would solve that engine code i think)
