BPT Maintenance

I have a few things that I might need to take care of my BPT MX-3.
I have had the swap in for about 60,000 miles and since 2003.
What maintenance do you guys suggest?

Timing belt looks good but for some reason the I and E on the Cam gears are not properly lined up so I am wondering if the belt slipped or if the dampener on the crankshaft pulley has started to slip.

Water pump is about 4 years old. should i replace this and or it's gasket if I do timing belt?
Should I replace any other seals with timing belt?

Car runs well, boosts to 13 psi. Will be driven 250 miles a week next fall for at least a year so I need to get it running reliably. Right now it runs 50 to 100 miles a week.

When you do the timing belt the water pump and idler/tensioner pulleys
are all right there and wear items, replace them. You can also get new
camshaft seals while the timing belt is off and those are cheap and easy
to do.

A timing belt kit usually comes with the water pump, belt and both pulleys
and in and around 100 dollars. The two cam seals can be had for under 10
for both. Other than that its just wrenchwork and should take about three
or four hours if you haven't done this before.

There are a bunch of guides on clubprotege on how to set the timing with
illustrated gifs and pictures for the BP.

Oh replace the PCV valve too while you are at if you don't know how old
the existing one is.

where did you find a timing belt kit with pulley and gaskets for 100?

I have done all this before. I am just wondering if the water pump really needs replacing after just a few years of use. How about the oil pump?

you should be fine on the oil pump, but DEFINITELY replace the water pump, i made this mistake on my DE and it bit me in the a** pretty bad, only 8 days after doing timing components, the water pump took a s*** on me, soooooo, while your in there, just get it outta the way

recommendations for a head gasket that can take the abuse of 240+ hp or will the stock on suffice?

where should i get an engine rebuild kit?
I might have a connection at mazda but will the mazda one be tough enough?
does anyone sell stronger valve stem seals?

any opinions:
one is rock for about $150
the other is permadry $260

i have to order like everything really quick as water pump is leaking.

also about to buy an engine crane from harbour freight unless someone suggests better.

The engine is back in and it starts but stalls out even with holding the throttle open.
I am still checking all connections.
I have removed the hoses that went to intake manifold and throttle body except of course the idle line and intake pipe.

still need to set the timing but i need to get it to run.
timing belt is set correctly.
